Shipping policy
This policy describes how we ship orders placed through The Infused Tallow Co. Specific carriers, timeframes, and rates shown at checkout will always take precedence over the general information below.
Where we ship
At launch, we ship to Washington, D.C. and the contiguous United States except California, Washington, and Maine. We do not accept orders or ship to California, Washington, Maine, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations. Orders with billing or shipping addresses in excluded jurisdictions may be cancelled and refunded. If a destination cannot be selected at checkout, we are unable to ship there at this time.
Order processing
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 2–3 business days. Because our products are handcrafted in small batches, processing may take longer during new launches, high-demand periods, or holidays. If we expect a significant delay, we will contact you. During hot weather, we may adjust ship days to reduce the chance of packages sitting in carrier facilities over a weekend. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order ships.
Shipping rates
At launch, we offer flat-rate shipping of $6.95 on eligible orders within our shipping area. Orders of $50 or more qualify for free standard shipping, after discounts and before taxes. Shipping rates, promotions, and available services shown at checkout will always take precedence over the general information in this policy.
Carriers
We ship via USPS and other major United States carriers using prepaid postage. Available services are calculated at checkout based on your destination and order weight.
Delivery times
Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, incorrect addresses, or events outside our control. Once we transfer products to the carrier, title and risk of loss passes to you, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise, as set out in our Terms of Service. If an order is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will work with you and the carrier (see “Lost, delayed, or marked-delivered packages” below).
Temperature and product texture
Our products are tallow-based balms and creams made with oils, waxes, and botanical ingredients. Because of this, temperature changes during shipping or storage may affect their texture.
In warm weather, products may soften or melt. If this happens, keep the jar upright and allow it to return to room temperature before opening. For a faster reset, you may place the closed jar in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes, then allow it to return to room temperature before use.
In cold weather, products may arrive firmer than usual. Allow the product to sit at room temperature before use so it can soften to a more comfortable texture.
Do not leave products in direct sunlight, a hot vehicle, a mailbox, near a window, near a heater, or in freezing conditions for an extended period. Do not microwave or heat the product directly. Please retrieve packages promptly after delivery.
Minor softening, firmness, texture changes, or a small amount of oil residue on the outside of the jar or protective packaging is not considered damage. If your order arrives with significant leakage, saturated packaging, broken glass, a compromised tamper-evident seal, or product loss that makes it unusable, contact us within 7 days of delivery at service@infusedtallow.com with your order number and photos.
Lost, delayed, or marked-delivered packages
If your package is lost, significantly delayed, or marked as delivered but not received, contact us at service@infusedtallow.com within 7 days of the expected delivery date or delivery notification with your order number and tracking details. We will review the issue and work with you and the carrier to determine the appropriate next step.
Incorrect addresses
Please double-check that your shipping address is correct and secure at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will contact you to arrange reshipment; additional postage may apply.
